Do You Really Need A Designer Handbag? Is There Anything More Important?

By

Are Designer Handbags A Woman's New Best Friend?

It's a bit of a stretch to apply this rule to everyone, but I know that there are a lot of women out there who love shopping. But shopping for women is about more than just finding something they want. It's about taking their time and exploring the opportunities. And within these opportunities are bargains just waiting to be found. When it comes to handbags, like the proverbial MCM bags or LV, there are plenty of bargains and finding these are some of the most sought after prizes for the fashion conscious woman.

Finding a discount designer handbag means guilt free shopping and years of pleasure. It doesn't matter how many bags a woman already owns. There is always room in the closet for more (if they were on special or on sale). Online shoppers have a great advantage when shopping for bargains, but that isn't to say they are the only ones who bag a bargain when it comes to designer handbags. Departments stores offer many annual and semi-annual sales for the handbag and fashion enthusiast. You just need to know where to look and when the sales are scheduled. There are some websites that sell designer goods for sales every day of the week. They have low overheads and can offer price savings to all shoppers.

Are There Other Quality Handbags Besides Designer Handbags?

But vintage/second hand shops also offer many opportunities. And shopping in real stores is a great experience for anyone. But it isn't just designer brands that can attract a bargain shopper's attention. Many replica bags (that is to say bags like the designer models - not rip-offs) are very high quality and much lower in price. Brand isn't everything to everyone.

A label is one thing, but unbranded handbags with quality stitching and materials are in high demand. Not everyone can afford $1000 for something to hand over their shoulder after all. Budgets are a normal and everyday part of life and you just can't rely on credit cards because they have to be paid back eventually. If quality is important to you then it isn't necessary to spend thousands. LV isn't the only quality bag on the market after all. But if you just must have a designer brand, but can't afford shelf prices, try second hand stores or online auction houses. Some of these pre-loved merchandise is very high quality and the price is dramatically reduced. And new items are being offered everyday.

Be Patient To Grab A Bargain Everytime

There might not be the exact model you want on sale every day, but if you are patient... Over time you can build a fantastic wardrobe of accessories shopping this way. Just be careful. There are a lot of good fakes out there that look like the real thing, but don't perform nearly as well. An authentic designer label is always expensive. No ifs. No buts. No other options. To get the real article you have to spend real dollars. There are no short-cuts. You might be able to get an authentic designer label for a few hundred dollars savings, but you'll never get much more than that. The fact that these bags are rare is what makes them valuable. So watch online auctions in particular with a keen eye. Minor details will be missing from counterfeits.

What's the Ultimate Goal Anyway? The Complete Package...

This is how you can always tell the difference between the real thing and a fake, this is particularly relevant with MCM handbags. Just avoid fakes like you would avoid disease. You get what you pay for if you don't. Stitching will come away, fabric will fade and more. It's the lack of quality that makes fakes affordable. Quality is ultimately what sets the real thing and a counterfeit apart over time. Designer handbags are stylish and give you a look of flair and fashion. They make people look at you.

But you don't have to have the right label all the time. If you make yourself a complete package of clothing and accessories and take the time and effort to suit yourself from head to toe this will make people pay attention to you more than just having the 'must have' item of the season. This is something that lasts longer than a short term fashion interest. And you can save if you aren't just buying labels. You can then spend money you save on activities you can do to show off who you are.

My opinion here might not be the most appropriate (hell, what do guys know about handbags?!), but as with many other things I consider the designer part of them as being useless. I tend to buy more quality products than those from a famous brand.
